Brixton Academy

London, England
November 8, 1998

Out of 5 shows I was fortunate enough to see on this tour, this may not have been the best singular performance, but the overall event was something truly amazing. Many times where I have covered shows and met bands before the gigs, the show itself turns out to be a letdown from what went on beforehand. However, that was hardly the case at this show. I'll be writing more soon about the weekend and the tour, but my thanks go out to Pamela, Samantha, Andy, Jim, Mark, Steve, Mary, Elizabeth, and Charlie; to the many nameless fans I encountered at each show, and, of course, to the band members themselves. My best to all of you.

What can I say ? Has to be the best gig I have ever been to, I could feel my eyes filling up. I grew up in Northampton where the band come from and saw them in the early years, but this just totally blew me away...Will miss them more than I did the first time round and can't believe how popular they have become...about bloody time. Lights out once again...

Wow!!! I was hoping it was gonna be good - but it was a truly wonderful experience. The only problem is that it's left me wanting more! Anyone know of any plans for Peter Murphy to tour solo?

I too was at Brixton last night and for me like so many others it was a dream come true to see my all time favourite bands play once more for the first time in fifteen years. I am so damned impressed by the way they played, it was better than I imagined it to be and well worth the long wait. A very big thankyou to Bauhaus for loving their audience enough to come back home to us. Emperor Beurb

I'm 'old' Bauhaus, having adored them as a seventeen year old and seen them last in '83. Thus, Brixton was a great experience for me as I felt like I was surrounded by a lot of old friends who I hadn't seen in years. I understood what everyone was going through. The Gig was great. Loads of energy and a great set. Would have loved to hear Crowds though. Also, couldn't believe my luck towards the end when the girl in front of me started feeling me up. Apologies to those around us who were embarrassed as our hands ended up flying everywhere. Cheers to Bauhaus...!

Ive been to the 3 uk dates and they were all classic , i have to say the manchester show had the best atmosphere (maybe because it was a smaller venue) also the women in manchester were hotter (i know im a sexst pig) anyway what a great batch of shows, lets hope they will be back sooner rather then later.
