last night i took my daughter (she turned 14 today) to the show for her birthday. we got there early as she and her friend wanted to see all the bands perform. you'll find the list of bands and pictures here: http://91x.com/gallery/index.php?level=album&id=36

bauhaus came on near 11pm. and WOW!!!! they put on a STELLAR set!!! they opened with Bela and it was quite dramatic with a 3-piece string band sitting center stage and a glow shining down on kevin. david j worked that bass and peter sounded fantastic. daniel played great, as usual. (not to mention, they all looked magnificently HOT.)

my daughter ramey and her friend alex LOVED the entire show. they really enjoyed the first band (my american heart) as well as the bravery (i thought they sounded quite good as well) and our local favorite, louis xiv. in fact, in between one of the sets, my daughter and her friend went to walk around and 30 minutes later i asked "where were you???" and they said they were hanging out with louis xiv and then showed me a picture they took with the lead singer on their camera phone. oh dear. i've created a miniature version of my own groupie self

i was really hoping they would like bauhaus, but i didn't want to inflate any expectations, so i didn't really say much about bauhaus. but after the show, they said they LOVED bauhaus and it was their favorite part of the show!

the crowd was awesome you guys. everyone pretty much rushed the stage and people were bouncing and dancing everywhere. there were some crowd surfers and during the last songs (ziggy stardust and telegram sam), people were either being thrown on stage or jumping on stage. it was so good to see some enthusiasm!! i kept in the back (almost by myself) but i was dancing and singing my ass off!! what a great time.

THANK YOU BAUHAUS!!! what a treat to share that with my daughter (she's been listening to bauhaus and everything related since in the womb!!!)

setlist in no particular order: bela, god in an alcove, in the flat field, passion of lovers, in fear of fear, kick in the eye, she's in parties (extended version), ziggy stardust, telegram sam. (did i forget any??)

I totally agree, Kelly.

*That* was the most amazing show so far. :) :) :)

What I loved was when: about halfway through Bauhaus' set, security opened up the pit area to let *everyone* in. The crowd was in an absolute frenzy! High energy...people were crowd-surfing, running up on stage to give kisses and hugs, and the band just flowed with it and kept giving it to us harder and harder.

This was one of the best concerts I've *ever* been to.

WOW!

I agree -- yet another AMAZING show! Loved the string version of Bela!

As with Coachella earlier this year, seeing Bauhaus perform with other bands makes me realize yet again how special Bauhaus is. They are magic when they're together, and it's rare to see that in other bands. I'm not knocking the other acts on the bill, but damn... Bauhaus seem to blow everyone out of the water.

They do have a chemistry that no other band can duplicate. And it is even more apparent when you watch them before/after other bands who don't have that.

pandemonium, i heard 91x play live recordings of songs from that night (after the fact, the morning after). i caught an alkaline trio track, but missed it when they played Bauhaus. maybe the station will offer it for download on their website at some point. fingers crossed!
