Resurrection Remembered

Three years. Three years to the day when the last of six candles was
extinquished. Three years since that last magical night in Portugal, when
the walls of the Oporto Coliseum were lit by a thousand raised flames and
resounded to the tumultuous roar of the transported, exultant crowd.
Being privy to the after show backstage banter that night, one recalls
Mister Murphy's gentle admonishment directed towards the candle douser,
Mister J, for it was the bassist who killed that final dancing flickering flame.

"You should have left them burning."

J defended his action, saying that he felt that it was an appropriate gesture,
marking the end of a cycle but not necessarily a complete termination.

Well, three years to the day, and one must say, gentlemen, that one has it on very good authority, that new matches have been procured and the wick is fit to kindle. Now all that is required is some wax!
