Love and Rockets' Lift came out on Tuesday
and with it, the flurry of goodies that are being
released in conjunction. We mentioned earlier the
poster at Tower
Records online,
we told you about the live chat happening next
Monday... now you can also see RealPlayer
interview
footage of Love and
Rockets
on Buguice
as well as an interview
with Peter Murphy
discussing Recall.
Love
and Rockets' newest single, "Holy Fool," was
remixed by DJ Keoki and you can download a
CD-quality version of the remix for free at
a2bmusic.
You'll have to download the a2b
player
in order to hear the single. In case you hadn't
heard, Daniel Ash will be working with DJ Keoki on
a project called International Crisis - "an
intended supergroup for the year 2000 modeled on
George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic."

There is a lot going on on the Love & Rockets
front while Bauhaus starts up their European tour.
Their new album, Lift, is being released by
Red
Ant
on October 13, and a few happenings in conjunction
with the new disc coming out. If you order
Lift through Tower
Records online,
they'll even throw in a free Love & Rockets
poster with it.
SonicNet
will be having a live chat with Love & Rockets
on October 19th at 10 pm EST. You can join in the
fun by downloading the required ichat
plug-in.
SonicNet is also having a contest to win an
opportunity to fly to London, England to see
Bauhaus at the Brixton Academy and also interview
them for the SonicNet broadcast. All you have to do
is give them some good questions you'd ask Love
& Rockets.
Some
of you may be curious about the new Bauhaus and
their side projects' promotional sampler released
on Beggars Banquet/Red Ant Entertainment. It's
available through Best Buy (only in the United
States) as a freebie when you purchase a copy of
Lift or Crackle. There is a fairly
limited supply - not over 10,000 CDs floating
about!
Peter's
new EP, Recall, will be available on October
27. It was co-produced by Peter and Sascha
Konietzko, Bill Rieflin and Tim Skold of KMFDM. It
includes:
*
Roll Call-Recall
* Indigo Eyes '98
* Big Love Of A Tiny Fool
* Surrendered
* Big Love Of A Tiny Fool - (Acoustic)
There is a little surprise waiting for you at the
end of the last track, listen and "play at maximum
volume."
Finally,
the Undertaker will resume his duties once the
European tour starts up again. There's always a
story waiting to be told about the Byronic
Ones...

There were some technical difficulties for the
second webcast of the September 11th New York show.
They have been rescheduled for Thursday, October 8
at 9:00 EST. The webcast will be available through
www.liveconcerts.com
or www.sonicnet.com.
The
limited edition signed "Bela Lugosi's Dead" CD that
was being sold throughout the US tour is sadly no
longer available. Some of you may have heard about
the mispressed CDs in which the first 1,000
numbered editions had "Bela Lugosi's Dead" and
"Boys" switched by mistake. Remember, only 1,000
copies exist!
If
you're a subscriber to the Telegram
newsletter, you would have received the tour notes
from the Undertaker. We've added a section called
Tour
Notes
for you so you can see the past and current notes,
if you're not a subscriber. Telegram subscribers
will receive these posts via e-mail before they are
posted to the site.

As mentioned before, the stellar performances of
the New York concerts September 10 and 11 were
recorded for an official live video that will be
released in the near future. Although it is a live
concert video, there are pre- and post-show
interviews with the band and tour crew members.
We'll keep you posted on the news of the video and
live album in conjunction with the
video!
Bauhaus
have added a new song to their setlist: Iggy Pop's
"The Passenger." This isn't the first time that the
members have paid homage to the former Stooge
frontman - Peter Murphy covered "Funtime" on the
1988 album Love Hysteria.
Most
of the songs on the Resurrection tour setlists so
far with the exception of "Severance" and "The
Passenger" can also be found on the newly released
Beggars Banquet compilation Crackle. This is
digitally remastered, which means crisp and clear
sound, so don't miss out on it!
Bauhaus
is almost finished with the US part of their world
tour, so if you haven't had a chance to catch them
yet, there are still 10 more dates left to
see.

Filling you in from Monday's news - six hours in
the studio and a new song later, Bauhaus went into
the studio to find out that there was new material
to be had. The song, rather, a sketch of a song,
was to see if new material could be developed but
the band hasn't decided whether it will be polished
up or not as an official recording. "Severance," a
Dead Can Dance cover was also set down in the
studio at the Chicago Recording Company.
The
New York concerts (September 10 and 11) will be
recorded for a live video which will be an official
release. You can also watch the two New York shows
from the safety of your own home through
LiveConcerts.com.
The shows begin at 9.30 EST.
The
dates for the full European tour will be released
shortly. After the tour, Love and Rockets will be
promoting their new album, Lift,
slated for an October release and Peter Murphy will
be working on his new album - Recall,
his new EP will be coming out in
October.

and other special promotions. If you would like to
see this list turned into a fan "list-serve,"

At tonight's Chicago show, Billy Corgan from the
Smashing Pumpkins joined Bauhaus onstage for an
encore of "Telegram Sam" and "All We Ever Wanted".
Peter introduced Billy as Yul Brynner although they
didn't break into a rendition of "I Whistle a Happy
Tune." Stephen Perkins from Jane's Addiction and
Porno For Pyros fame also joined in the
performances.

If you haven't had a chance to watch Bauhaus in
action on their Resurrection tour, you had the
chance tonight to watch via the Rolling Stone
cybercast on JamTV (www.jamtv.com)
live at their Chicago show at the Riviera Theatre!
If you missed it, you'll be able to catch it again
tomorrow night at 8:30 EST.
Just
announced today - David Bowie will be celebrating
his grand opening of his ISP provider Bowienet on
August 31st by doing a webcast of various
performers. He will select 2 songs from the Bauhaus
cybercast to replay again! Bowie is a Bauhaus fan
from way back, you'll remember that he asked
Bauhaus to perform "Bela Lugosi's Dead" in the
movie "The Hunger" from 1983. If you remember the
credits rolling at the end of the movie, you would
have caught Bauhaus credited as "The Disco Group in
Club." Disco, indeed folks. This ain't disco, this
is resurrection.
